Jim McGuire – Founder and President
Jim McGuire is a results-driven entrepreneur with significant experience in business development, strategy implementation, and complex negotiations.
Prior to founding Shotgun Capital Advisors, Jim served as Director of Business Development for Brink’s U.S. (NYSE: BCO), a global leader in business security services. In 2002, Jim expanded Brink’s services into the document destruction industry and oversaw its growth and acquisition strategy.
Jim holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Dowling College and obtained his education in mergers & acquisitions, strategy, and negotiations from The Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania’s Aresty Institute. He resides in Southlake, Texas, has two children and is an advocate for children’s educational rights and pancreatic cancer research.
Jim has incubated the growth of a number of companies in the document destruction, medical waste, business security, and brand protection services industries.
Fred Robeson – Partner
Fred joined Shotgun Capital Advisors in August 2012 overseeing transactions in the oilfield services industry segment.
Prior to joining Shotgun Capital, Fred accumulated over 20 years experience in the oilfield services industry as a successful business owner and operator. In 2003, Fred started Patriot Liquid Services, LLC in Decatur, Texas, providing wastewater hauling, disposal, and frac tank rental services to oil & natural gas exploration companies in the Barnett shale region.
Fred grew Patriot to over 37 trucks, 200 frac tanks, and over 100 employees before it was acquired by Stallion Oilfield Services in July 2007. Fred remained with Stallion until July 2012, overseeing operations in the Barnett shale region.
Fred attended Southwestern College and Oklahoma State University. He currently resides in Decatur, Texas.
